How can YOU help with missions all over the world? Prayer! Missionaries need intercessors more than admirers. They need prayers more than donors. They live and work in the enemy's territory and become the special object of Satan's attack. Support our missionaries by praying for them. Pray for their protection from satanic attack, enablement in life and ministry, flexibility in relationships, attitude of servanthood, compatibility with fellow workers, heart of love for all men, boldness in preaching, fruitfulness in service, filling with the holy spirit, understanding of culture, discipline in devotional life, proficiency in use of language, patience with others, safety in travel, courage in danger, health in soul and body, support adequate for needs, wisdom to maintain finances, family home life and children.
We hope to enter this decade with a focus on reaching unreached people groups in the 10-40 window of the world. We long to see missionaries raised up from our church and sent out to the outermost places of the world. Please pray with us as we seek God with this desire. We are also seeking to have more involved relationships with our missionaries and have now set up guidelines concerning who we will consider for support. Thank you to the many who have helped in numerous ways to support our missionaries. Here are the missionaries SRBC supports with prayer and finances:

- Dr. Craig & Patsy Kent work with Mission: Moving Mountains in Tanzania, Africa. The Moving Mountains Mission is an interdenominational, evangelical organization committed to Christian discipleship and community development among the poor peoples of the world. Currently, the organization works in five different countries within Africa. Through an integrated approach they seek to bring reconciliation between God and people. Craig and Patsy, married in 1985, began pursuing opportunities to work as missionaries which would utilize Craig's medical background as well as give the opportunity for involvement in one on one discipleship. This past summer we sent one Junior High Student, Tesha Woodard, on a missions trip to Costa Rica. Praise God for providing monetarily for Tesha! Please pray for Tesha as she prepares for the trip. In June 2001, we also sent nearly 15 high school students on a missions trip to Arizona. The high school students spent a week with Native American Indians painting houses and working with children. Praise God for the awesome learning experiences and opportunities had by all during the trip.
Proverbs 25:25 says, "Like cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a distant land." The importance of letters written to missionaries is perhaps illustrated for us by the fact that 21 of 27 New Testament books are letters. Our missionaries would love to hear from you!
Contact Donna Boss or the church office for more information regarding missions and how you can contact our missionaries. Contributions and donations for these missionaries are always greatly appreciated.
