Then & Now:

Proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is not new at Scranton Road Bible Church. SRBC has unashamedly proclaimed the Good News of Christ for many years. The church had its early beginnings starting in 1874 as the Czechoslovak Baptist Church. The name changed in 1916 to Scranton Road Baptist Church. The great tradition and history of SRBC has a strong affiliation still today with the Czechoslovakian Baptist Convention, an association of 12 Czech Baptist churches in North America. Today, the ministry joins the rich heritage of Eastern-European culture with a growing congregation of African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and other cultures. We view it as a privilege to serve our Lord and worship together as a culturally and racially integrated family of believers.
