Scranton Road Bible Church is a richly diverse group of people joined by a common interest in seeking to know Jesus Christ and to be His light to the near Westside neighborhoods of Cleveland.
Our mission is to glorify God by crossing cultural barriers to:
- share the hope of Jesus Christ,
- serve the neighborhood for Jesus Christ,
- and strengthen the saints in Jesus Christ.
The mandates of the mission statement:
- Matthew 28:18-20 (The Great Commission)
- Ephesians 4:11-16 (The equipping of the saints)
- Proverbs 3:1-6 (in a spirit of faith, love, and kindness)
At Scranton Road Bible Church, we believe:
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory. For the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost -- they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. Those who are believers in Christ are spiritually united.
